Epoch Turbo Mill solid carbide end mills

Solid carbide end mills for roughing and pre-finishing

Hitachi Tool: Microsite High-Speed-Cutting

The ETM is available in a wide variety of dimensions and lengths and fine graduations.

Roughing and pre-finishing – often a task for standard indexable tools – is a job that can be performed by the new Epoch Turbo Mill. Available in a wide variety of diameters and lengths, this solid carbide end mill can be adjusted to the required machining task and, with its high metal removal rate and long lifetime, achieves the final finish much faster than ever before – whilst lowering setup costs.

Numerous applications and trial machining runs conducted as part of the Production50® offensive have confirmed that the ETM can be universally applied in the field of tools, dies and mould-making. The high metal removal rate does not detract from the quality. Indeed, in many cases, and depending on the application, the finish quality that can be achieved eliminates the need for any roughing and finishing. At the same time, the TH45+ coating applied to the ETM makes for impressive tool lifetimes. In the majority of applications, the ETM shows no visible signs of wear and tear after 1 hour of roughing either.
